The Silver Slipper Club meets in the Emperor Ballroom of the Romanway venue in Cowley.
This is the social club (Rover (Cowley) Sports & Social Club) behind the BMW Mini car works, just off the ring road to the southeast of the City of Oxford.
Leave the ring road, turning either left or right onto the Horspath Road. After approximately 100 yards, turn right into Romanway and the gates to the Rover (Cowley) Sports & Social Club are approximately 300 yards along on the left.
Turn left into the gates, where there is a small parking area immediately in front of the building, but by turning right inside the gates and following the drive across the front of the building, you will come to a larger parking area at the far side of the social club building.
From the small, front carpark, to gain entrance to the ballroom you will need to walk down the drive across the front of the building, turn left, and then left again to go up the exterior flight of steps to the lobby. Go through the double doors at the rear of the lobby, along a short corridor (off which women's, men's and disabled toilets are situated), through double doors to the lounge and ballroom area. From the larger, side carpark, entrance to the lobby is by the same flight of exterior steps at the top corner of the building. For disabled access, there is a long ramp across the front of the building entering the lobby on the other side from the flight of steps. However, the door is often locked on this side, so if you do need to use it, please contact the Social Club directly.
